Hi, I’m Kirstie — part systems thinker, part pixel perfectionist, and a full-time believer in design that actually works.
I specialize in building scalable, flexible design systems that bring harmony to the chaos of product teams. Think of me as the bridge between UX designers and engineers, turning scattered styles and inconsistent components into a single source of beautifully documented truth.
Over the years, I’ve led the creation and evolution of design systems that power enterprise platforms and white-label products, all while keeping things accessible, themeable, and just a little bit magical. I thrive on solving messy problems with structure, mentoring designers, and finding those “Why didn’t we think of this sooner?” moments.
When I’m not wrangling desingers you can find me making pottery, chasing my two Australian Shepherds, or pretending I only had one cup of coffee today.

A little about me
The Integer Group is a marketing company that worked on uncovering, creating and sustaining growth for certain brands. I was part of the Innovation team, where I focused on creating UX/UI designs for web and mobile experiences across various company brands; for example, FedEx, AT&T, Marvel and more.
In addition to my UX design work, I took on a range of creative responsibilities — including video editing, motion graphics, illustration, 3D rendering, and virtual reality projects, helping deliver cutting-edge solutions for the organization.
RealPage is a property management software company. Outside of regular design project work, I collaborated with a team of designers to develop two distinct design system libraries — one for the B2B products and another for B2C. Each library had its own style, ensuring the right look and feel for different audiences.
The team documented both systems thoroughly for developers and created a dedicated design portal, providing clear guidelines and best practices for designers and developers alike. Beyond building these systems, I leveraged them to create user experiences for RealPage’s business and consumer property management platforms, maintaining a cohesive and user-friendly design across all product lines.
Alkami Technology is a FinTech company creating a white label product to sell to banks to use as their desktop and mobile app experience. Throughout my time at Alkami, I focused mainly on the design system, oversaw standards within design / develop, and lead all innovative and theming projects. My day-to-day was overseeing the end-to-end design and documentation of our web and native systems for the UX development team. I collaborated closely with mobile and web engineering to QA all work, ensuring each component and user experience flows aligns with our standards. My responsibilities also include managing the theming framework, which empowers clients to customize the product to their own branding while maintaining flexibility and consistency across varied UI looks.
I lead a team of 10 designers, guiding them to maintain a uniform experience that appears to be designed by a single hand. In addition to this cross-functional collaboration, I supervised a direct-report team of designers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring that our design vision is upheld throughout every aspect of the platform.

WHITE LABEL
Alkami Iris
Alkami's Iris design system has been developed for web and native devices. The web library uses Vue.js and the native library uses a Flutter framework.
Iris has been structured to be a white label design system. This means that is allows for custom theming within the components using tokens to allow for variants when it comes to colors, shape radius, layout styles and more.
ENTERPRISE, B2B
RealPage RAUL
RealPage's RAUL design system has been developed for web experiences. The web library uses a React framework and utilizes different libraries like jQurey, Popper, Bootstrap and Summernote.
The design system was created as an enterprise library to be used within their B2B products and the style of the system demonstrates that. The styling was designed to be RealPage branded with subtle color schemes, standard OS fonts and simple illustrations.
B2C
RealPage RentJoy
RealPage's RentJoy design system has been developed for web experiences. The web library uses a React framework and utilizes different libraries like jQurey, Popper, and Bootstrap.
This design system is within the RealPage ecosystem. It was designed for their B2C products, focusing more on the consumer of property management software instead of the administrative side.
